[this is good]
After having just gone on the rides I considered the "kiddie rides" at Disneyland for the first time since I was a kid, I think I can say that scene might as well have been in the original, heh. Until now I really didn't realize how scary Disney could be!
I remember the Snow White ride scared me when I was about 5 years old. My niece recently got scared by the Mr. Toad one and she's 6. That one didn't bother me as much, but remember feeling slightly uneasy the whole time and thinking it was very strange.
When we went on Snow White this weekend, the timing was off, so we didn't see the witch get struck by lightening we had to read about the ride on wikipedia to see it was supposed to have a happy ending, so it freaked us out thinking it was a kiddie ride ending with the witch going for the dwarfs.

I can see Mr. Toad freaking out kids, it seems the ride ends with you going to hell or something. heh. We were surprised Disney kid rides were so dark. We always skipped them thinking they'd be too cheery, it's a small world, etc.
